Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Regional Wage $8-12/hr.

• Provide for basic patient care needs. Take and record vitals, assist with hygiene and dressing, and provide for patient comfort.
• A 4-month or less certification course. The CNA credential also awards college credits that may be applied to LPN or RN training.
• Little or no cost to the student (depending on location).
• Requires minimum score on COMPASS/ASSET test.

Patient Care Technician (PCT) Regional Wage:

• Employed in long term care facilities, hospitals, laboratories, and clinics where basic bedside nursing skills are required as well as skills of phlebotomy, performing electrocardiograms (EKG), stress testing and holter monitoring procedures
• Program consists of classroom/lab instruction and supervised/ preceptor clinical activities
• Eligible to take certification exams in phlebotomy, nursing assistant, and EKG and/or Patient Care Technician
